This is an experiential workshop wherein the learning process is anchored in direct experience and relationship.
Participants will be introduced to key concepts and practices including:
The introductory course is both a CPD opportunity for practising therapists and counsellors and for anyone who might be interested in applying for the Karuna Institute Diploma course or the Post-Qualification MA Mindfulness Based Psychotherapeutic Practice, both based in Devon
Core Process Psychotherapy is rooted in Buddhist psychology and mindfulness practice, informed by Western psychotherapy theory and approaches – all grounded in the belief and experience that awareness is inherently healing. This two-day course is an introduction to mindfulness practice as the basis for a profound enquiry into how we experience ourselves and others, and how we can heal our deepest personal and interpersonal woundings. The course also provides an opportunity to explore the link between the spiritual and psychological.
Through participation in talks, discussions and experiential processes, we explore how, along with the cultivation of interpersonal enquiry and reflective skills, developing contemplative presence-in-relationship clarifies and deepens our personal, interpersonal and clinical lives.
The workshop will be of particular interest to those who simply want to deepen their awareness of mindfulness practice in relationship to counselling and psychotherapy or any other areas of personal, workplace or community life. This course is also available for CPD credits. Students from outside the U.K. are welcome on our courses.
The Two-day Introduction to Core Process Psychotherapy is offered in a variety of locations in the UK.
