New mothers and babies need a supportive holding field and often appreciate receiving Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy sessions. This 5-day seminar for Craniosacral Therapy practitioners with experience in a Biodynamic approach offers an overview of developmental needs and challenges of mothers and their babies from conception (or even pre-conception) through pregnancy, birth and post-natal bonding. How can we best meet and support birthing women and babies at this important time of life?

We will explore practical approaches for working with mum and baby together both before and after birth. We will develop practitioner skills for working within the family field and examine how to recognize and gently support resolution of trauma incurred through the process of having or being a child coming into life. The seminar will include some personal process work as a way to more clearly understand and be ready to meet this potentially activating territory. We will also engage in table work designed to deepen ability to meet this important transition in our clients with an orientation to resource and the deep universal support of the Breath of Life.

LEVEL 2: (*Advanced Seminar for those who have already completed Level 1*)

In the second seminar of this two-part series, we continue to explore how to provide a safe, supportive holding field for mothers, babies and new families, as well as engaging in practical approaches and table work.  Some personal process work will also be included to enhance your ability to perceive and be present with birth process arising for babies and their mothers.

This seminar will include more specific attention to birth-related developmental challenges for the father or partner of the birthing parent.  We will look more in-depth at potential traumas and developmental changes for baby, mother and the new family as a whole and how to support these within a Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy context.  Special topics will include adoption, multiple births and previous loss like miscarriage or still birth, as well as IVF and other assisted fertility issues.

This seminar is intend for those who have completed Level 1.
